Peraton Military Bowl - The 2021 Military Bowl presented by Peraton benefiting the USO will be held on Monday, December 27, at the Naval-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland, the Military Bowl Foundation announced today. Postseason college football bowl games in the National Capital Region continue to feature teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference and American Athletic Conference. Kick-off is at 2:30 PM. ET and the Bowl airs on ESPN.

The game was held in Washington, D.C. It concludes Bowl Week with events for the teams and fan events in Annapolis, including the Military Bowl Parade, traditionally led by the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales. The Bowl also honors Medal of Honor recipients and provides free tickets to service members through the Tickets for Troops program.

Since moving to Annapolis in 2013, the Military Bowl has averaged 31,492 fans in attendance, filling 93% of the arena's capacity.
The 2021 Military Bowl, scheduled to play Boston College against East Carolina, was canceled a day before the game due to the covid outbreak in the Boston College team.

Official Ncaa College Football 2022/23 Military Bowl Patch: Ucf & Duke
Tickets go on sale in the fall. Proceeds from the bowl will benefit the USO and Patriot Point, the Military Bowl Foundation's retreat for wounded, ill and injured soldiers, their families and caregivers. Held at the official Military Bowl tailgate before games and at all Bowl hospitality areas.
This year's game between Duke and UCF is on Wednesday, December 28 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Tickets are currently on sale at /tickets. Kick-off is at 2pm. ET and the games are televised on ESPN.
To make the event greener, the Bowl has partnered with local nonprofit Annapolis Green to recycle all plastic and aluminum products in the area. All other products purchased for use in this field are certified compostable and collected separately by Veteran Compost, a DC-area company founded by US Army veteran Justen Garrity.
"The Military Bowl honors and supports our nation's service members, but we also want to do our part to help preserve the planet for future generations," said Military Bowl President and Executive Director Steve Beck. Veteran Compost uses proprietary technology and biodegradation to treat these items and all food waste as soil conditioners that benefit local farms and gardens. Bowl partners Katchef Brothers Inc. and Mission BBQ, caterers Bo Brooks and Main & Market, and arena suppliers also joined the effort.

The Military Bowl also participates in efforts to continue the Bowl Season by recycling bottles and making them merchandise.

Knee Jerk Reactions: Military Bowl
Each of the players' Bowl Bound shirts this year, courtesy of Vapor Elemental wear, is made from 16 recycled plastic bottles.
As part of the collaboration, Bowl Season and UNIFI will host a Sustainability Committee covering six major Bowl games, including the Military Bowl. Additionally, The Military Bowl has partnered with UNIFI to collect bottles from the game. These bottles will be REPREVE and used to make Military Bowl fan gear, volunteer gear, and staff apparel.
Proceeds from the bowl go to the USO and Patriot Point, a retreat for wounded, ill and injured soldiers, their families and caregivers for the Military Bowl Foundation. It has been held in the Washington metropolitan area every December since 2008. The game was originally played at the Robert F. Cady Memorial Stadium in Washington, D.C. and moved to Naval-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland in 2013.
In the early stages of planning, the game was known as the Congressional Bowl, but was first played in 2008 as the EagleBank Bowl, sponsored by EagleBank, a financial institution in Washington. The game became the Military Bowl, where Northrop Grumman was the title sponsor from 2010 to 2019.

In 2020, the game is sponsored by Perspecta Inc. and officially known as the Military Bowl hosted by Perspecta.
Beginning in 2021, the game will be known as the Military Bowl, sponsored by Peraton and hosted by Peraton.
As of December 20, 2020, several bowls have been canceled due to a lack of available teams. Once again, the Military Bowl, which was scheduled to feature teams from the American Athletic Conference and Atlantic Coast Conference, also did not get a team, and on December 21, 2020, the organizers announced that the 2020 bowl not played.
On December 26, 2021, the 2021 Edition Bowl was canceled due to COVID issues within the Boston College team. It is scheduled to head to East Carolina on December 27.

The idea for the EagleBank Bowl was conceived in December 2006 by Marie Rudolph and Sean Metcalf in Washington, D.C.
DC Sports and Territorial Commission and Washington, D.C. The Convtion and Tourism Corporation announced support for the 2007 proposed EVT.
The bowl game was one of two games sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for the 2008 college football bowl season, the other being the St. Louis Bowl game. The NCAA's Postseason Football Licensing Subcommittee approved the ball on April 30, 2008, allowing the committee that proposed the game to host it after the 2008 college football season.
The first game started on December 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM ET, making it the first bowl game of the 2008–09 bowl season.

In 2010, organizers announced that the NCAA extended the bowl game's certification for four years, allowing it through the 2013-14 bowl season.
